South Georgia Birth Services offers lactation counseling and support. Our goal is to ensure that no mother fails at this most basic and important method of nourishing your baby.

I sponsor a breastfeeding support group that meets monthly:

• The "Babe in Arms" group is for pregnant moms and babies that are not yet walking. This group meets at my office the last Friday of every month at 10 AM until noon. We allow each mom time to ask questions and receive up-to-date information and problem solving. Please call or email to confirm the date, since sometimes holidays will change our schedule.

I also offer private, in-home breastfeeding counseling for those who want to make sure things are going well or are experiencing challenges. Normally I don't charge for this service unless the visit requires some travel for me. Please see the Links and Articles pages for breastfeeding helps.

From Highway 19N, take the 84 bypass to Cairo (also known as 38) out where Thomas County Central High is located. Go 2.6 miles to the intersection of 84 and GA 3 (Citgo Travel Center). Turn right onto GA 3 and look for the 2nd house on the right behind the Citgo station. We share a driveway with the first house, so turn into the first driveway and head to the 2nd house, beige with hunter green shutters.
